Saab 9-5

Since 1997, you can admire the Saab 9-5 sport sedan on the streets of Europe. With the Saab 9-5 SportCombi the saloon, three years later, a second body variant was set aside. As the successor to the Saab 9000, which shone with a mileage of more than 500,000 kilometers, the Saab had yet to prevail 9-5 sedan on the competitive market against VW Passat and Opel Omega. This was achieved in particular by different engines, all of which can demonstrate a strong horse power. Since the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Saab 9-5 is available in its second generation and is in contrast to the previous larger and the shape of a nature more towards a coupe. The competition for customers of Mercedes-Benz E-Class or the VW Passat was also modernized with new engines. The basis of the engines is a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a turbo engine and 180 hp and the 2.0-liter TiD diesel with 160 hp. Similarly, the Saab 9-4X from the known 2.0 - liter turbo gasoline engine with 220 hp is used. Top engine, the Saab 9-5 Sedan is a 2.8 liter V6 turbo gasoline engine with a comprehensive 300 hp. Every Saab 9-5 engine is fitted as standard with a six-speed manual transmission. Optionally, you can also incorporate a six-speed automatic transmission.
