Star of the summer
Brussels (Belgium), 5. July 2017
Who goes for a lot of money in a Restaurant or stayed at the Hotel, pay no attention seldom on the number of stars. The same applies to cars: The more stars a model in the EuroNCAP crash test gets, the better the security is, but also the Image of the vehicle. Now, EuroNCAP has seven new models to the wall.
Five times Five
With the best-value five-star of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio, the Hyundai i30, the Opel Insignia, Seat Ibiza and the VW Arteon cut off. With four stars the new Honda Civic had to settle for. As a "post-test" was-lifted Ford Mustang three stars, after the previous model had only gotten two stars.
Also, small cars are safe
Three of the Five-star vehicles highlights EuroNCAP: the VW Arteon delivered the best result of the upper-middle-class in pedestrian protection. The Alfa Stelvio scored with a 97-percent rating for adult occupants. EuroNCAP points to the Volvo XC90, delivering a similar result in 2015. The new Seat Ibiza, the standard safety is praised equipment, a point that is now at the grading significantly to the weight. Included in the price of a pedestrian detection with Autonomous emergency braking. The entire test results can be found in our photo gallery.(rh)
