Ford Capri

From the presentation in November 1968 to 1986 about 2 million Ford Capri were built in three series.

The Ford Capri is a four-seat coupe, which in the early stages of its construction had 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine. Later versions of the Ford Capri had up to 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine under the long hood. Regarding the motorsport history, the Ford Capri coupé was a true winning car and was stopped only by various rules changes. The Ford Capri II is now rarely found on public roads, but still there are many fans of Capri. Fans especially like modifications Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia and Ford Capri 1600GT (88HP) or the S models from the current perspective rather garish colors. Also there is famous Ford Capri 2.6 RS with 150 hp, which was developed at the initiative of the then head of the Ford RS department Jochen Neerpasch. The Ford Capri RS 2.6 was used for homologation racing.

Following the retro trend of the newly launched VW Scirocco, the Ford Capri meant to be available as new car from the year 2012. The Coupe is based on the Ford Focus and inspire especially sporty drivers equipped with an independent panel of the new Ford Capri.
