Volvo XC40: market launch with five engines

Volvo other engines for the on 10. March 2018 start XC40. The of 4.43 metres long, the BMW X1 competitor is with three turbo petrol engines and two diesels available. Already in September 2017 published price list contained three engines: two turbo petrol engines (T3, with 156 HP and the T5 with 247 HP) and a Diesel (D4 with 190 HP). This range is now expanded to include two engines: a 190-HP T4 and a 150-HP D3.
The first three-cylinder engine in the company's history
A special feature for Volvo, the entry-level petrol engine is: The T3 is the first three cylinders of the 91-year-old brand's history because of, among other things, the V40 is well-known, previous T3 is a four-cylinder. From 1.5 liters of displacement, the new direct-injection engine of 156 HP, which transmits a six-speed manual transmission to the front wheels draws. The fuel consumption is 6.8 liters per 100 kilometers (WLTP cycle). The T4 includes with 190 HP, the gap between the 156 HP strong T3 and the T5 with 247 HP. These two engines are 2.0-Liter four-cylinder series to be paired to an eight-speed automatic. The T4 is available as a front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
Two Diesel with the Adblue System
On the diesel side, you now have the choice between the 150 BHP D3 and the 190 HP D4. Both have 2.0 liters of displacement and four cylinders. The D3 with manual or automatic and Front - or all-wheel drive. All engines already meet the emission standard Euro-6d-TEMP, the Diesel will have an Adblue-exhaust gas cleaning. For the future of Volvo announces a Plug-in Hybrid on the Basis of the T3 engine and a pure electric version.
Good Standard Equipment
The XC40 will be offered in four equipment variants: XC40, Momentum, R-Design and Inscription. The entry-level version has LED headlights with high-beam assistant, a 12.3-inch instrument display, air conditioning, and a 9.0-inch infotainment system. Also 17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, City emergency braking system, active lane-keeping assistant, traffic sign recognition, as well as an emergency call system are standard. The prices for the XC40 start at 31.350 euros (T3 with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive).
