Like the 2016 introduced new Impreza based on the the XV, the new edition is now based on the "Subaru global platform". This should make for more stiffness, less noise and vibration, as well as increased security.
At first glance hardly any optical changes
The mass of the new XV conceals Subaru the first generation was with 4.45 meters, a few centimeters shorter than the segment of bestseller VW Tiguan. The ground clearance of stately 22 centimeters, which allows tours away from streets remains unchanged. Visually, little has changed at the first glance: the famous hexagonal grille with chrome crossbar, the headlights "in the style of Eagle eyes" (original sound of Subaru) and the black scratch protectors about as in the old model. But the L-shaped framing of the fog became thicker, and are now black instead of silver. Black is now also the roof spoiler and the rear lights have a slit-like. In addition, Subaru powered new alloy wheels and paint colors in grey and orange.
Electronic Handbrake and larger display
The cockpit remains the same in the broad, but has worked more often faulted quality. There are now orange contrast stitching and the seats are designed to provide more comfort. The touch screen is growing from currently maximum seven to eight inches. The feedback of the Steering has been improved and instead of a traditional parking brake, there are electronic now. The four-wheel drive is as symmetrical AWD series had. New however is the system X-mode, the engine management system, all-wheel drive, braking and other functions coordinates and so security provide better traction and more to such as ice and snow. It also includes a hill descent assist.
The Boxer will be stronger and more efficient
The Boxer engine was extensively revised: about 80 percent of the parts are new, which means the engine is lighter, more powerful and more efficient there are no details to do this but still. Also the revised continuously variable CVT transmission was easier and should provide for a better acceleration and greater profitability. Whoever wants to can turn over seven simulated course itself.
Standard "eyesight"
Now the "eyesight" system on board is fitted as standard. It includes a collision detector, an emergency brake function, a lane holding, as well as an Abstandstempomaten. In addition, a high-beam Assistant, active headlights and "Subaru rear vehicle detection" (blind spot, changing lanes and cross traffic Assistant) are available. Engine options and rates will be announced later. So far the range for a 114 PS strong 19.990 euro petrol engine model began. (sl)
