Mazda engines are clean
Leverkusen, 25. May 2018
You may have noticed it already, that the emission limits were tightened. The new standard bears the name of Euro-6d-Temp and lower nitrogen oxide emissions requires diesel cars, the petrol engines, however, a lower particle emissions. Currently, more and more manufacturers to equip their vehicles to the new standard. In the case of models that are already in the market, you would actually only 1. September 2019 to do.
Mazda 2 Diesel
Mazda also makes its engine range is now fit for the future. All models except the Mazda 3, its successor in 2019-starts, and the MX-5, in which the changeover is imminent, now meet the sharp Norm. The Mazda 2 runs on the Diesel theme from the affair the small car will be offered in the future, not with compression-ignition engine. The petrol engines comply with all Euro-6d-Temp. The Mazda 6 (including Kombi) fulfills from the Facelift, starting in July 2018, with all engines meeting the new environmental standard.
Displacement magnification in the Diesel in the CX-3
The CX-3, a small SUV the size of a Opel Mokka X, has been replaced by the 1.5-Liter Diesel by a 1.8-Liter engine. Mazda, however, speaks not of a new engine, but only by a displacement magnification. Anyway, the car meets the new limits. Also, the two-liter petrol engine is now certified according to the Euro-6d-Temp. This engine is also used in the CX-5, a competitor to the VW Tiguan, and is also clean. As Diesel here is a 2.2-Liter-four-cylinder that complies with the sharp Norm.
Gasoline engine without a Filter
The gasoline engines meet the stricter limits for particle number emissions, only thanks to internal engine modifications, an additional gasoline particulate filter is not necessary. The 2.2-Liter Diesel (used in the Mazda 6 and CX-5) received a Adblue System and comply with the nitrogen oxide limits. The new 1.8-Liter (in the CX-3 is sufficient), a NOx-storage catalyst.
MX-5 with a big engine 24 HP is stronger
The modifications to the gasoline to place the part in power and torque to a minimum. An example: The Top gasoline engine with 2.5 Liter displacement and cylinder deactivation in the revamped Mazda 6 comes on 194 HP (plus two PS). However, the standard consumption (when Topbenziner in the sedan's increase often from 6.3 to 6.7 liters) and acceleration data (in the example of the model deteriorate from 7.8 to 8.1 seconds). The two petrol engines in the MX-5 to meet according to the current price list only Euro 6, but this should change in the latest Version of the engines. The heavily modified 2.0-litre engine, the performance increases significantly from 160 to 184 HP. The smaller 1.5-litre the performance is just minimal to a HP to 132 HP.
