Jaguar XE SV project 8: sick cat

Ryton-on-Dunsmore (Great Britain), May 26, 2017

In the "Special Vehicle Operations" (SVO) Division of Jaguar Land Rover, the very hot iron are forged in recent years. Now, the strongest series Jaguar, there has so far been tested the power column. At the Nürburgring, the spores are given XE SV project 8.

Huge poultry

The camouflage with many intertwined SVO logo is striking. Yet the muscles from the T-Shirt burst in a way extreme XE: front, there are huge air intakes, and a large spoiler, plus side skirts plus widened rear wheel arches. A fat wing is located on the rear of the limousine. 600 HP from the famous supercharged V8 with a capacity of five litres, which produces 575 HP in other models of Jaguar Land Rover, make the XE SV project 8 to the PS spearhead, which trumped even the legendary XJ220 of 1992 with 549 HP.

A case for collectors

After the Jaguar F-type project 7 by 2014 is the XE SV project 8 to the second vehicle of the so-called "collector's Edition" of SVO. Not more than 300 vehicles are to be manufactured by hand. No cheaper fun so as SVO-Chef John Edwards points out: "the XE SV project 8 highlights the development of aerodynamics and performance to a new level. The price for such an extreme high - performance sports car with limited quantities will reflect that". We know more until end of June 2017, then the last camouflage covers fall within the framework of the Goodwood Festival of speed. (rh)
