?? VW makes failed trials as a radical Golf Roadster or a 400-horsepower compact cars at the GTI meet at Wörthersee always cause a stir. This year, the Wolfsburg-based carmaker has a special concept in luggage: the Golf GTI Club Sport. The premiere of the model will take place from 13 to 16 May 2015 during the event instead. There should be a foretaste of the planned 2016 anniversary model on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Golf GTI.
More aerodynamic
VW has significantly gewerkelt at the concept of aerodynamics. Front bears the Clubsport a new front apron with large air intakes, GTI - typical strut and a front splitter. More performance
The technical basis for driving the Golf GTI Club Sport is the 230-hp performance variant of the normal GTI engine. In anniversary model, the two-liter four-cylinder turbo - Agreggat develops a maximum power of 265 hp. We think of performance data that can be compared with the new Seat Cupra. In the Spanish branch of the engine that is also works as a 265-or even 280 - hp variant. Theoretically more steam would be even more in there, then the study would however make the Golf R with 300 hp competitors.
Small series or studies bonds?
About a possible launch speaks not VW. But care enough fans for the model, then the chances that the 40th anniversary GTI anniversary in 2016 at least Studies bonds flow into the production GTI or even a small series is included in the program.
