So the first Maserati SUV comes

Modena, February 22, 2016

Maserati complements its product range in the future to an SUV. At the Geneva Motor Show (3 to 13 March 2016) for the first time will be of the Levant. Thus, the brand in addition to Ghibli, Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranCabrio now has a fifth model in the program.

Dynamic optic

The Levant follows the trend of sports cars SUVs von Porsche, Bentley and future Lamborghini and Aston Martin. In the form of the Maserati, sports car-like accents, for example, the large grille and the narrow headlamps can be found. The Trapeze-shaped C-pillar ends in a very muscular rear fenders, which has a gentle swing upward from the rear door handles. Large frameless side Windows are more SUV atypical. Also the very slanted rear window and the flat rear remind more of Porsche Panamera, Audi A7 and co. as on a more or less all-terrain vehicle for the city centre.

On and off the road is comfortable

Driving dynamics both on - and off-road should feel very comfortable the Levant. Multiple adjustable air suspension and a sophisticated electric damper control to provide together with "Q4"-getauften all-wheel drive system for high level of comfort and good traction. Petrol and diesel engines will be coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Market launch in the spring of 2016

It is made of the Levant in the Mirafori factory in Turin. Since the launch in Europe should take place in the spring of 2016, the production has already started. (mf)
