QV sister for little money

When Alfa Romeo at the IAA presented the new Giulia in Frankfurt in 2015, the QV - or Quadrifoglio version was the new great love of many Alfisti. Understandable: With 510 Horsepower, a look to your knees and fantastic performance, the Giulia QV is a true source of joy. But the top model for 71.800 Euro doesn't fit in every price range. So it should come as no surprise, that the Giulia Veloce, the 2016 was presented at the Paris Motor Show, has caused some happy faces. Now, it is also known, what will cost the entry-level sport model of the Giulia.

Special Veloce styling

The Giulia Veloce comes with two different engines: A 210-Horsepower diesel with 2.2 l engine and a 280-HP petrol engine with 2.0 litre capacity. Both units are coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission that transmits the power on a four-wheel drive to all four wheels. Specially for the Veloce version there are sportier bumper, 18-inch alloy wheels, a diffuser and bi-xenon headlamps. Driver and front passenger more contoured sports seats ranked take inside. Aluminium decors and a steering wheel with an integrated start button provide motor sports atmosphere.

Reasonable price

The prices for gasoline and diesel are almost 25,000 euros below the QV version. For the 280-HP Giulia customers must put 47,800 euro, for the 210-HP - diesel 46,800 euro are due. For comparison, an Audi A4 with 272-Horsepower diesel there for just under 50,000 euro, a BMW 530i with 252 PS diesel from 2017 to just under 50,000 euro. For example, the Cadillac ATS with two-liter turbo petrol engine, 276 Horsepower and four-wheel drive for 45,000 euros is cheaper. (mf)
