New six-cylinder in the VW pick up

The VW Amarok is the flagship loads donkey from the portfolio of Volkswagen commercial vehicles. The car-like pick-up the heart of craftsmen, hunters, pick up fans and many others has its good features and handling compact for a vehicle of its size since 2010. Now a V6 turbo diesel is for the first time in the Amarok.

Maximum 224 HP and 550 Newton metres

The three-liter diesel engine comes in three performance levels with 163 204 to 224 HP. The torque of 550 nm is already applied from 1,500 revolutions per minute. Customers can choose between a manual transmission and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new V6 engine to with content in an average 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers. There are three different drives available: in addition to the classic rear-wheel drive the "4 motion" system can be ordered, which is either available as selectable 4WD with the manual transmission and permanent four-wheel drive with Torsensperre with the eight-speed automatic transmission.

Detail improvements

New 17-inch brake discs on the front axle to improve the braking performance of the Amarok. Also new are the redesigned front, the instrument panel and the ergonomic seats. The V6 engine is as 224 HP specification make the beginning and be available from September 2016. (mf)
