Bad Salzuflen, December 11, 2014

This moment was eagerly awaited: As part of Bad Salzuflen custom bike show, the Akrapovic exhaust system manufacturer has presented a new concept bike called Full Moon. The concept motorcycle was developed in collaboration with the Slovenian custom bike brand dreamachine Motorcycles ?? from the partnership already showed the Morsus which is traveling around the world since 2011. Like its predecessor, the Full Moon is an extravagant and technically extraordinary show bike that it is impossible to assign a current motorcycle category.

30 - inch front wheel and carbon brake system

The name is a reference to the massive 30 - inch front wheel aluminum and carbon. It is visible in its full extent, and is a reminder of the full moon, the " Full Moon". An innovation is the composite brake disc which was never seen in this size so far on a motorcycle. The steering is fully automatic. This has the designers used to pack the handlebar particularly minimalist ?? no visible cables that normally would be required in a motorcycle. By a hydraulic suspension, the Full Moon can even stand upright when parked.

Knucklehead engine and 800 hours

Highlights are also a classic S & S Knucklehead engine with a displacement of 1,524 cubic centimeters and the two modified custom exhausts, which are integrated into the fairing. In addition, frame and trim are made entirely of sheet metal and, together with the exhaust system a tapered teardrop shape. More than 800 hours of work this machine was built. What should it cost? Better not ask ! (ml)
