Volvo continues to renew its model range and celebrates at the Geneva Auto Show (public days: 9-19.3.2017) the new XC60. The second generation of the SUV can be ordered at prices starting from 48 050 euro are and comes on the market in the summer. Three trim levels are available, and five engines with a range of 140 kW / 190 HP to 300 kW / 407 HP, which are always combined with all-wheel drive and the eight speed automatic transmission.
Entry level model is the Volvo XC60 D4 AWD with a 140 kW / 190 HP strong four-cylinder diesel engine; a further diesel 173 kW / 235 HP works in the XC60 D5 AWD. In addition, the gasoline engines are T5 AWD (187 kW / 254 PS) and T6 AWD (235 kW / 320 HP) available. Top model is the 300 kW / 407 HP strong plug-in hybrid T8 twin engine AWD...
Series is the new "oncoming lane mitigation"-system, which prevents collisions with oncoming traffic by an active steering intervention. Also the run-off road protection, which protects against injuries at the coming of the road, and the road edge detection to protect against unintentional leaving all variants include the road standard. The city safety emergency braking system expands for the first time in the XC60 a steering assistance for evasive action.

The scope of the series also include a two zone climate control, air quality system, electrically height-adjustable front seats and a leather steering wheel.
