Jaguar has released the first pictures of its new premium midsize XF. The second generation XF comes with the new, lightweight aluminum architecture of the smaller XE against BMW 5 Series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class at. He should offer more space and be lighter and much more economical than before. Promises for the tight-fisted XF with a new 2.0-liter diesel Jaguar Ingenium an average fuel consumption of 3.9 liters. That would be a word for a vehicle of the upper middle class.
More beautiful than the other
If it goes to Jaguar design chief Ian Callum, the new XF is not only sustainable but also very pretty. In any case, prettier than the German premium competitors. "I am convinced that the new XF is the most beautiful car in its class ," exclaims the designer. No later than March 24, 2015, we know more, because then the Jaguar XF is revealed in quite spectacular fashion. The British stuntman Jim Dodwell ( worked among others in the James Bond and Indiana Jones movies) will control the car with two 34 mm thick ropes that are stretched high above London's waters.
Launching in Fall 2015
Technical details are yet scarce. However, it is expected that the new XF the 340 - horsepower V6 and the new Ingenium four-cylinder from the XE takes over. For the Fun Group nor the supercharged V8 from the F-Type is ready to provide the current up to 550 hp. The first interior image shows strong similarities to the cockpit of the XE. Everything seems but a trace airy and noble. The new Jaguar XF made its debut at the New York Auto Show ( 3 to 12 April 2015). The launch is planned for autumn 2015 . (sw)
