The current generation of the Mercedes S-class has been since 2013 on the market. Now, she gets a moderate facelift and new engines. World premiere has the car at the auto Shanghai (19-29 April 2017).
The new engines were introduced us already in October 2016 at a technology workshop, now more details to follow. The Twin-Turbo V8 S 560 and Mercedes Maybach S 560 is exactly 14 HP with 469 Horsepower stronger than the current Twin-Turbo V8 in the S 500, the torque is the same as with 700 Newton meters. The plug-in hybrid the battery capacity is increased from 8.7 to 13.3 kilowatt hours, which should increase the electric range from 33 to 50 kilometres. In combination with the new Mercedes Wallbox, the on-board charger allows a considerably faster charging of the battery.
