The main plant in Rüsselsheim, Germany started the production of the Opel Insignia Grand today sports. The first vehicle that will go over in customer hand is a copy in abalone and white with 125 kW / 170 PS strong two-litre diesel engine. The first three series vehicles are destined for the markets of Poland, Denmark and Germany. The Opel's flagship sedan Grand sport is and can be ordered as a combined sports tourer for four weeks and goes officially on sale in the summer.
Opel has invested more than EUR 500 million in the production of the new insignia, whose Vorgänger "Car of the year 2009" has been and is sold throughout Europe 940 000 times. In recent years, he was the fourth most commonly sold model of the brand insignia.
The new Insignia is based on a completely new architecture: up to 200 kilograms has slimmed down the new design compared to its predecessor, is flat and offers still more space inside.
