SsangYong e-SIV and Musso

Double premiere at the Geneva auto salon: The state of the SsangYong stand from the 8. to 18. March 2018, the new Musso and to the design of study e-SIV. While the electric and Autonomous concept car, e-SIV an Outlook on the future, embodied in the Musso, the new Generation of Pick-ups, the starts already in the early summer of 2018.

By Musso, the Actyon and back

With the Tivoli, and the long version of the XLV, as well as the flagship Rexton SsangYong has completed its SUV Portfolio now. A Pick-up with the new of Musso. In the beginning of the 2000s, there was a SsangYong of this Name – the Musso was a SUV, a Pick-up called the Musso sports. The successor of the (in Germany not offered) Actyon and pickup Actyon Sports. The latter will in future be replaced by a Musso.

A rhinoceros on the Basis of the Rexton

The Name Musso is derived from the Korean word for rhinoceros. The technical Basis of the current Rexton, with its ladder-type frame, the selectable all-wheel drive and the 2.2-Liter Diesel that delivers 181 HP. As with the Rexton, there is a 2WD and a 4WD Version and as standard a six-speed circuit. Optionally, there is here, however, instead of the seven-speed Automat, one of the Aisin-developed six-speed automatic. For safety, a lane change and blind spot assist, and cross traffic Warner. The Smartphone to the Infotainment coupling, so that the Apps will appear on the up to 9.2-inch Display.

The e-SIV is an E-SUV

Maybe less relevant, but for this chic the other Geneva-novelty is. The study e-SIV (Electronic Smart Interface Vehicle) is a Compact SUV with electric drive and shows the direction in which the Design of the brand could develop. With 4.46 meters in length and 2.68 Meter wheelbase, the car has approximately the dimensions of the SsangYong Korando. On Board there is a learning-enabled voice recognition, and Internet access. A special App informed about the state of the battery and monitors the charging process. With a full battery 450 kilometres (NEDC) should be possible. A Radar and a camera for semi-Autonomous driving capabilities. By an additional Sensor, later on, automatic lane change, and other Autonomous functions could be possible.(sl)
