It is amazing that A VW Passat GTI, there was never. In 1979, one in Wolfsburg on the verge of calling the finished vehicle with the 110 PS engine in the Golf GTI but the Passat GLi. In the last few decades, the Passat could get customers also, the units of the Golf GTI, yet the famous name was taboo. More than a GT equipment was not in it, later, there was still the R36. However, this car may be called (presumably at the behest of Wolfsburg) only Passat GT.
