Volkswagen is introducing a new Siebensitzer large SUVS for the American market. The VW Atlas offers above all plenty of space. With a length of 5.04 meters, a width of 1.98 meters and a height of 1.77 metres, he is larger than any other US-Volkswagen. The Atlas is considered midsize SUV in the United States however, and VW classifies him between the Tiguan and the Touareg, which are also available in the United States. The Atlas as the Tiguan is based on the modular transverse box (MQB).

Decision in favour of the Interior
Since early 2013 VW explores the mood in the United States for a big SUV and introduced since then three relevant studies. Include the CrossBlue of the Detroit Motor Show 2013 (a seven-seater of the five-meter class MQB-based), the CrossBlue Coupé of the auto Shanghai 2013 (a 4.90-metre, five-seat Coupé SUV, also on an MQB-based) and the cross Coupé of the Detroit Motor Show 2015 (a five-seat Coupé SUV with 4.85 meters in length). With the Atlas VW has decided clearly for a further development of the CrossBlue that is, for the eckigste and most spacious solution. As far as the drive, remains quite conventional VW series model.
