For several months, no longer trades under the name of quattro GmbH audis rapid force (i.e. the person responsible for all RS and R8 models) but Audi sports would like to be called. Perhaps that is one reason why you now at the New York Auto Show (14 to 23 April 2017) the R8 Special Edition Edition Audi Sport presents. Perhaps you made by mistake too many seats and body parts in red and now no more where knows it. However, it is more likely that you simply wanted to offer a beautiful special model well-to-do fans of the brand, which refers to the quite remarkable Audi Sport racing successes in the year 2016.
Strong contrasts
Audi Sport boss Stephan Winkelmann said aptly: "2016 the most successful year in the history of our Audi customer Sports Department was racing sports customer. With the R8 LMS we 24 title imports, 85 victories and more than 100 further podiums". There you can put on a corresponding special model then ever. In the focus are the Audi Sport colors black, silver and red. Painted editions-R8 is (matte or glossy) myth black or Ibis white either in foil silver. Always there are mirrors and the famous Sideblades in brilliant red. Audi speaks of a "strong contrast". Now, you can leave that safely so. Other features of Edition Audi Sport: front spoiler, grille, diffuser insert and tailpipes come in black. There are also forged 20-incher in black with Silver trim and Red brake calipers for the steel brakes. If you plus decide for the R8 V10, you get a ceramic brake with anthracite-coloured callipers.
Much red, much carbon
Inside Sport Red Audi R8 Edition also has a whole bunch. You can find it on the flanks of the seats and the door panels. You will be welcomed by illuminated door sills, wearing the discreet note in itself, that it is one of only 200 vehicles. Furthermore, you get a bunch of pure carbon, many contrast seams in silver, as well as the so-called performance leather steering wheel with red 12-hour mark.
