"Future electric BMW's less aberrant"
The design of future electric bmws will be a lot less different from the regular BMW models than the current i-models do. "They need a moment to fall."
That has BMW's ontwerpdirecteur, Adrian van Hooydonk, against the British Autocar said. Van Hooydonk refers to with his statements on the very different carriages of the current i3 and i8. "These cars were distinctive from the regular models on fossil fuels. By design, we were able to focus the attention on the innovative drivelines." Now the use of electrified powertrains still gebruikerlijker is, according to the Dutchman no longer a need to be distinctive. "The electric or plug-inhybride powertrains are within the shortest of times and optional offered in the price lists of the regular models." The iX3 Concept proves this already. Despite the electric powertrain will see the concept car will look like a regular BMW X3.
Van Hooydonk stressed, however, that it is not the end of innovative designs. "In the future it is still quite clear that there is still i-models and that the designers are capable of different things." The newly unveiled Vision iNext assured us, in any case, for the time being we have different designs you can count. But for how long?
