Chevrolet makes fresh the traverse

The Chevrolet Traverse is already since 2008 on the market, a successor was so far but not in sight. Now 2018 shows the US manufacturer at the auto show NAIAS in Detroit (8-22 January 2017) the new truss for the model year. We have all the information about the big SUV.
Fresher appearance
Already the considerably fresher and more modern look reveals: here comes the new Chevrolet Traverse. No sign more of American middle-class SUV Tristesse in the style of its predecessor. The body reminiscent of various Jeep models in details and is quite stylish. A large air intake at the front ensures a memorable face. The optional LED headlights are new, an LED daytime running lights is always on board.
New interior
Especially the Interior benefits from the new extended wheelbase. Find up to eight passengers in three rows of seats in the bar area. When folded to fit about 2,800 liters in the trunk, which is more than decent. There are also two new equipment variants "RS" and "High Country". Former Black details are standard and in the car, in the latter there are brown leather, 20-Inchers, LED headlights, four-wheel drive and electrically reclining seats in the third row. The infotainment system now supports auto CarPlay Apple and Android. The Wi-FI hotspot and USB charging ports in all seats are likely to be very happy especially smartphone users.
The drive
Under the hood of the traverse either a new 3.6-liter V6 has with 305 HP and 351 NM, or a smaller two-litre turbo with 255 HP and 400 nm of torque. The motors on a nine-speed automatic are coupled. The choice between all-wheel and front-wheel drive is left to the customers. A start-stop system is standard on board.
Market launch and price
The new Chevrolet Traverse will be available from autumn 2017 on the US market. There's not a price so far. So far buyer had to put at least $32,100 so approximately 30,500 euros without any taxes on the table, a traverse to get. (mf)
