How many model cars are there from the VW Beetle? Presumably, the number is in the thousands. Now comes a very special miniature added: Lego brings to the 1 August 2016 a version of blocks of Wolfsburg legend on the market.

Not for small children

In the context of the series 'creator' expert LEGO brought out already the classic mini and VW Bulli. Now, the beetle of the 1960s-style follows as a particular challenge. Not easy, after all a round shape meets square blocks. The realization was worked with Volkswagen. A total 1,167 items must be added together, which is why the beetle set only from the age of 16 is recommended. The car is finished 29 cm long and 15 cm high.

Great attention to detail

What comes out after work? A blue VW Beetle of California surfer-style. During Assembly it is advisable so to hear the beach boys. As already in the previous creator models emphasizes LEGO lot details: the Interior can be admired on the hinged doors and removable roof. He radiates in beige and offers also folding front seats in addition to the dashboard and steering wheel. Of course, even the trunk and hood can be opened. Here, the four-cylinder Boxer and the fuel tank were modeled after. A storage compartment with beach towels, but also the surfboard and the cooler on the roof rack is especially funny. Get pleasure? The model will cost 89.99 euros, it will be available initially only on the LEGO website and the 13 LEGO stores in Germany and Austria. (rh)
