Ahead of his time: Audi R8
In this section we look not for, but backward, through the eyes of imaginary designers who long ago was a foresight. Today: the Audi R8 from 1983: the car for those with a Quattro Coupe to be just, but a Lamborghini too high.
In 2003, flaunts Audi on the trading floor of Frankfurt with a spectacular showcar, the Le Mans Quattro Concept, named after the many successes that Audi that years book in the famous 24-uursrace with the R8. It takes three more years before the dream becomes a reality in the form of a Lamborghini Gallardo in Audi-uniform.
That is a combination that they are in Ingolstadt in the year 1983 had not yet imagined, although in those years, not a bone caught when you get at the Audi dealer aanbelde for a fast car. The Quattro was considered at the time as a highly desirable sports car and is now a full-blown cult.
Ruben Ooms has a good look to the Lamborghini Jalpa, and that is logical, because as the Gallardo until the MurciƩlago was, as relationships with the Jalpa to the Countach in the year that the world is on Thriller of Michael Jackson danced and the whole of the Netherlands doubted about Belgium.
