It is so far: Audi Sport at the IAA in 2017 in Frankfurt (14. - 24. September), the R8 V10 RWS revealed ... the first model of the brand with pure rear-wheel drive. Only 999 units of the Coupé and Spyder should arise. We tell you what the models are and what they should cost.
Less weight, lower acceleration
Under the hood, it remains in the naturally aspirated 5.2-Liter V10 with 540 HP and 540 Newton metres of torque. The coupe runs up to 320 km/h top speed, the Spyder is two km/h slower.
Winkelmann and controlled Drifts
Why the RWS now comes? "He is made for the purists," says Stephan Winkelmann, managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. "As a limited edition special model he, an estimate for the customer the extreme driving dynamics, an exclusive offer. With its V10 mid-engine and rear-wheel-drive brings the drive concept of our R8 LMS race car successfully on the street."
