Known to be traveling in China prefer rear. More and more car manufacturers means that they consider not only their upper class models for the Kingdom of the Middle significantly in length. At Auto China in Beijing (29 to 4 2016) Mercedes E class long version shows, Jaguar brings the long XF, and BMW has even an XXL version of its compact SUV X 1. Audi makes its new A4 L from the river Leine to the major Chinese Auto show of the year.
Even more space
The long version of the new A4 is growing compared to the normal version by nine centimetres and measuring 4.81 meters now. With a wheelbase of 2.91 meters. These are each four centimeters more than with its predecessor. Despite the increased size, the new A4 L loses good 110 kilo weight. This entirely benefit the space in the rear plus in length. Trunk volume is 480-965 liters as the standard A4.
Only for China
Standard Audi equips the A4 L with Xenon light. Audis-matrix dynamic flashing LED light is optional for the first time. The cockpit is identical to the normal A4 and includes the digital virtual cockpit on request. Of course, also the whole armada of audis latest safety and assistance systems is available. The A4 L is offered exclusively in China and that afford with two two-litre TFSI petrol engines, the 190 and 252 Horsepower. Front-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission are standard. For an additional fee, there are also audis quattro all-wheel drive. Market launch for the long version of A4 is the summer 2016.(sw)
