The premium pickup with V6 diesel

The new VW Amarok is now available. Proudly, the manufacturer describes him as premium-pick-up. The car of a V6 diesel powered as single pick-up on the German market. This is from Audi, and was used for the first time in 2014 in the A6 and A7. The used in the Amarok, new version is particularly robust.

3.0 TDI in three versions

The new engine meets customer requirements for high torque: the old 2.0 TDI offered maximum 420 Newton metres, the V6 TDI provides contrast, 550 Newton metres, so 130 Newton metres more. Also at the performance, the new motor saddle on it. So far was at 179 PS, now range up to 224 HP. The new 3.0 TDI it is available in three versions: 163 HP and 450 nm, 204 HP and 500 Newton metres as well as 224 HP and 550 Newton metres. Even more power comes with the Overboost function, which increases the performance for a short period to up to 20 HP. Also, the new engine finally meets the Euro 6 emissions standard.

Long ranged high speed

As in the past, three drives are offered: rear-wheel drive, optional all-wheel drive with claw coupling and permanent four-wheel drive with Torsendifferenzial. For particularly difficult passages, there is a reduction in area for the six gears. The long established highest course of the six-speed circuit and the eight-speed automatic transmission reduce the speeds with advantages for noise and consumption at high speeds. The standard consumption of 224-HP top version with eight-speed automatic transmission is 7.8 litres per 100 kilometres.

Starting as a crew cab

At least at the beginning, only the 5.25 metres long four-door double cabin version is offered. The cargo area measures here 1.55 1.62 meters. The maximum payload is a ton and you can pull trailers weighing up to 3.5 tonnes. The equipment of hot trendline, Comfortline and Highline Aventura. At trendline, the facilities include six airbags and the multi-collision brake against subsequent collisions, known from other VW models. 16-inch steel wheels, electric Windows, Central locking and electrically adjustable and heated outside mirrors are standard. The basic version has the infotainment system "Composition audio" (with 5.0-inch black-and-white display, SD card slot and USB and aux-in connector). Otherwise, 'Composition media' (6.3-inch color display with gesture control, voice control and Smartphone connectivity) and "Discover media" (with Navi and DAB +) are offered.

Nobel of equipped Aventura

For the launch, there is the model Aventura for a short time. It is with 20-inch wheels, Park beep front and rear, electrically adjustable leather ergonomic seats, paddles, stainless steel pedals, rear view camera, the infotainment system discover media, Xenon headlights, LED daytime running lights. As standard, a painted "sports bar" extended the passenger cabin, optionally there is instead a RollBar or a "styling bar". Except in the twelve normal paint Aventura also in Matt grey or blue is available.

Initially only the top engine available

To start only the 224-HP top engine option as Aventura or Highline is available. These versions now can be ordered, end of September 2016, they are then at the dealer. The Aventura with all-wheel drive and automatic cost 55.370 euros, the Highline version 49.742 euro.
