The current X-trail is for 2014 on the market. From September 2017 Nissan appreciates now visually and technically his big SUV. The modifications are similar to those of the recently introduced facelifts for the Qashqai's little brother.
New front and more chrome
The optical changes include the wide v-shaped radiator grille and the new design of the bumper with larger in body color of painted surface and a glossy black finish. Also the boomerang pattern of daytime running lights, as well as the now rectangular instead of round fog lights have been revised. Also, now Adaptive LED luminaires differ visually clearer from the halogen headlights. At the rear, the bumper gets new chrome accents, and a modified light design of the rear lights. Completed is the optical finishing touches with new 18-inch wheels, a chrome trim Strip at the bottom of the doors for the top Tekna equipment as well as the expanded color palette. In addition to the six known liveries are four new shades of choice: an orange, a red, a blue, and a dark brown.
New steering wheel
In the Interior, the new, flat bottom steering wheel striking first. It is to the getting in and out easier, a better view of the instruments, as well as through four-way buttons offer a simpler operation. For the first time, the steering wheel is also available with integrated heating function. The front and rear seats, whose leather upholstery are improved quality are heated. Optionally, a new two-tone leather interior (Brown seats with black applications) to the choice stands for the Tekna-version. While all versions of the X-trail in the future as standard allow digital radio reception, the Tekna-version with a Bose audio system is equipped. In addition, now also a sensor-controlled power liftgate is offered.
Soon part of autonomous
Also new on board the X-trail are the intelligent assistants Assistant with pedestrian detection and an internode-Warner, which reduces the risk of accidents during slow reversing. In addition, the X-trail runs soon also part of autonomous. The corresponding system is called ProPilot is and will be introduced in the course of the year 2018. It allows the automatic control of steering, gas pedal and brake in one-lane motorway traffic, in the column traffic jams.
Some more trunk
Still there are 4.64 meter long car as five and seven-seater. The trunk from 550 to 565 litres is widened at the five-seater. The volume seats expanded to increased from 1,982 to 1,996 liters. The engine line-up includes as three engines: a 1.6 liter turbo gasoline engine with 163 HP, a 1.6 litre diesel with 130 HP and only in the winter 2016 introduced 2.0 liter diesel with 177 HP.
