Milan, 18. December 2017

Probably will not remember too many of them, but in 1954, Fiat bringing to the world with a pretty crazy study called Turbina. For the craziness of the Fiat Turbina, a circumstance was mainly responsible: The car was powered by a gas turbine. Now, a little more than 63 years later, Pagani and Garage Italia Customs built a Huayra, the Fiat should pay tribute to a daring design tribute. Said Huayra is given the additional name Lampo. Of a gas turbine, it is not driven but (unfortunately).

Italian Pride

For this, he takes on the iconic colour concept of the Turbina. Responsible for: Lapo Elkann, Fiat heir, renowned Jet-Setter and creative Director at Garage Italia Customs. Together with Horacio Pagani, he has now created this unique piece. "Surprisingly", they tell us, "have the two cars in less different shapes as you might think." Where the Fiat Turbina, however, had to make do with a single-layer coating, the Huayra Lampo a newly-developed Carbon structure with Aluminium applications, which "ensures that the color always looks lively and agile." On the body and the Details – such as the Tricolore-elements at the rear wheel arches – was mainly set to transparent coatings.

Gold and lightning

The Original Golden hue of the Fiat emblem on the Turbina has been used for a variety of aluminum parts on the car and the wheels. Behind said wheels, massive Brembo-Carbon-ceramic brakes with 380 mm discs and special Tricolore Flashing on the calipers. In the interior of the Huayra Lampo shines with hand-braided brown leather and anodized aluminum elements.

With Parts of the Huayra BC

This Huayra-single piece also features the so-called "Tempesta"package with larger front air intakes and extended Aero elements on the front splitter and the side skirts. Solutions that were already in the brute Top model, the Huayra, BC,, can also be found on the Huayra Lampo, for example, the increased use of Carbon fiber in the Chassis of the car. To drive the Huayra Lampo there is no information, which means that it's strong is the same, 750-HP 6.0-Liter Biturbo V12 that comes in the "normal" Huayras.

Horacio and Lapo are satisfied

Horacio Pagani is the result is obviously very satisfied: "A beautiful and very interesting task that allowed us to leave the beaten track, to discover it more," says the Maestro. Lapo Elkann added: "We have chosen the name Lampo (Lampo is Italian for "lightning"), another powerful Element of nature and the prelude to something Unexpected, something that is always magically different."(sw)
