Only in February 2015 did the Fiat 500X Crossover launch, now the manufacturers are already expanding the model range of the Opel Mocha opponent. Developed by Fiat - Chrysler Automobiles together with the Jeep Renegade 500X now gets a new top gasoline engine and a new gearbox donated.

Effective immediately, the 1.4 - liter turbo gasoline version with front-wheel drive, 140 hp and 230 Nm of maximum torque can also be equipped with a dual-clutch transmission. The choice of six speeds is then either automatically or manually via the selector lever on the center console or optional shift paddles behind the steering wheel. The base price of the new variant is 23,150 Euro. Whether the future also the identical Jeep Renegade will benefit from the DCT gearbox, is not yet known.

Also new is a second power level of the aforementioned turbo petrol engine with 1.4 liter displacement. The four-cylinder after the Fiat - power boost 170 hp and 250 Nm of maximum torque. In this stage, the unit is already being used in the sister model Jeep Renegade used. As of May 2015, the engine in the 500X is available. As with the Renegade 170 - horsepower gasoline engine is also offered in the Fiat only with four-wheel drive and the unique in this segment, nine-speed automatic transmission.
