New motors for Renault

Renault will launch in 2018 and a new diesel-engine generation on the market. The turbo units are initially in the Scénic and Grand Scénic.

More Torque

1.3 liters of displacement, direct injection and turbo charging are the key features of the new engine, developed by Renault-Nissan's cooperation with Daimler. To the number of cylinders, the French do not comment officially, the photos, however, as with the previous 1.2-Liter engine four-cylinder. Among other things, the injection pressure is increased to 250 bar, in addition to the numbers, more torque at a lower rpm. So the output remains the same at the TCe 115, instead of 190 Newton-metres of 220 Newton meters, but now already at 1,500 tours.

With an Optional dual-clutch

The TCe 140 replaces the 130-HP gasoline engine and is 30 Newton meters delivers up to 240 Newton-metres more torque. Optionally, it is also available with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the same is true for the most powerful Version of the 1.3-Liter engine. It offers 160 PS and 260 Newton metres (270, with dual-clutch). Will be replaced in order for the TCe 150, which was previously a 1.6-Liter engine with 220 Newton meters of torque. At the beginning of 2018, the new units come on the market and will be gradually introduced in other model series.(rh)
