Koenigsegg has attacked again

Hair, 6. October 2017

Less than a month ago Bugatti set a new world record in the 0-400-0-km/h discipline. The Chiron completed this task in fabulous 41,96 seconds. Although there are not many vehicles that can reach 400 km/h mark, but still, we always believed that the record is faster broken, as the Bugatti is, perhaps, love. We now throw a glance in the direction of the Koenigsegg ...

0-400-Oh my God

The Swedish Hypercar-forge has become in the past, pretty quiet. The only Highlight of the last few months, the idea of a new aerodynamics package for the Regera at the Concours d'elegance in Pebble Beach. But now a picture has been released on the official Facebook page of Koenigsegg, indicating a new speed record. To see a Agera RS and the title of "0-400-OMG". Koenigsegg has already achieved several world records. With the fastest lap of the race track in Spa and the best 0-300-0-km/h time. The Chiron seems to get in trouble.

The results from the 1. October

Only a couple of hours later, released the Koenigsegg then a Video of the record run from the 1. October 2017. The detailed results? 0-400 km/h, succeeded to the Agera RS in 26,88 seconds, speed 400 up to a standstill, passed 9,56 seconds, and the complete 0-400-0-discipline, the Hypercar completed, therefore, in 36,44 seconds. The distance covered amounted to 2.441 meters. Thus, the Koenigsegg is 5.52 seconds faster than the Bugatti.

What is planned for the future?

Back to the Chiron: Bugatti took advantage of the own record travel, the services of the 41-year-old Colombian racing driver Juan Pablo Montoya. Montoya moved the 1,500-horsepower Hypercar for two days in August of this year and completed a total of 17 runs with a speed of 400 km/h. In the next year Bugatti will take the world record for the fastest production vehicle in the attack. Here's the current (official) record is 431 km/h. It is held by the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. What Koenigsegg is planning, however, we do not know. We assume, however, that the company also wants to continue to break speed records with his Hyper-cars.(ml)
