Ingolstadt, 14 March 2016

Mid November 2015 launched the new Audi A4 avant, now follows the cross version: the A4 allroad quattro is available now.

More ground clearance and off-road look

Features include 34 mm more ground clearance and the standard all-wheel drive off-road look. Issued wheel arches, a skid plate and a silver rear diffuser give attention. To startup order, there is only the 3.0 TDI with 218 HP and S tronic, as well as the 3.0 TDI with 272 HP and tip tronic.

New four-wheel-drive system in the 2.0 TFSI

To the market in the summer 2016 then follow the versions with 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TFSI. While the new quattro drive "with ultra technology" Debuts the allroad quattro 2.0 TFSI. So far a four-wheel drive with self-presence Center differential is used in all versions of the A4. This varies the strength distribution of 70:30 until 15:85, that is, both axes are always powered, at least a bit. Different with the new ultra system of the allroad quattro 2.0 TFSI: here two clutches of rear axle drive will be shut down for good road conditions completely. That should reduce fuel consumption by about 0.3 litres per 100 kilometres.
