Facelift for the compact Chevy SUV

The Chevrolet Equinox is the self-proclaimed compact SUV of brand despite a length of 4.80 meters. Now the Americans at the Los Angeles imagine show (18th to 27th November 2016) the facelift of the Equinox car. Especially the points of connectivity, security and drive were addressed.
The outside fresh and light
Externally, the Equinox has become clearly modern. On the front there is LED day driving lights as standard, higher equipment variants are provided also at the rear with this lighting technique. Also, the engineers could facilitate the SUV around 180 kilograms, which should translate into more dynamic and less fuel consumption. The boot volume is growing thanks to a now completely and flat-folding rear seat to 1,798 liters.
Three turbo engines
The Equinox will be available with three turbo engines: a 1.5 - liter and a 2.0 liter gasoline engine and a 1.6-litre diesel. The latter is the first in the segment of compact SUVs in North America. A four-wheel drive, which automatically turns off when not needed and drives the front wheels only, should also push the average consumption.
More Wizard, more Infotainment
Except with new engines and a prettier look, Chevrolet equips the Equinox with multiple security systems. These include among others an emergency brake, a lane, as well as a dead angle Warner. The infotainment system, the Americans put car for a settlement with Smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay or Android. In addition, a Wi-FI hotspot supplying the equipment of vehicle occupants with an Internet connection. The redesigned Equinox comes in the first quarter of 2017 on the North American market. (mf)
