Audi presents the Q8 concept study at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit (-22.1.2017), giving views of a future large SUV Coupé-style à la BMW X 6. At the same time, the brand is celebrating the world premiere of the SQ5 TFSI and the new A5 is the public unveiling convertible.

The Audi Q8 concept combines SUV typical space with the lines of a Coupe. Car makers thus opens up a new segment for the upper class. At the same time, the brand with the study gives views on their future design language. The operating concept relies on large touch screens. For the excavation of the plug-in hybrid provides 330 kW 449 HP system power and 700 nm of torque for the Quattro all-wheel drive. The concept car is the basis for a series model, which brings Audi in 2018 on the market.

With the SQ5 TFSI has the sportiest version of the Q5 series at the Detroit Motor Show in its world premiere. The three-liter turbocharged V6 engine making 260 kW / 354 PS and delivers 500 nm already at 1370 rpm of torque. Thus, the top model sprints in 5.4 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h. The optional sport differential, which actively distributes the moments between the rear wheels, as well as the optional dynamic steering system with variable translation increase agility. Both components are included as well as engine, Tiptronic and the standard damper control - in the 'select Drive' driving dynamics system. Both the exterior and the Interior of the SQ5 TFSI with numerous S-specific design features and an advanced standard equipment from the base model settles. These include among others sport seats in Alcantara/leather, LED headlamps, as well as 20-inch cast-aluminum wheels 5-double-spoke star design. The Audi SQ5 TFSI is available at the German dealers, from mid-2017.

With the A5 cabriolet, Audi completes the A5 family. The fabric hood to convince with an excellent aero acoustics and features a new opening of comfort: A short pull on the switch is enough to fully automatically to open the soft top or close - even while driving 50 km/h.
