Ahead of his time: Cadillac Escalade

In this section we look not for, but backward, through the eyes of imaginary designers who long ago was a foresight. Today: the Cadillac Escalade from 1960. Size did always matter.

1960: the year that John F. Kennedy, the U.s. presidential election wins, the Euromast is open and Ayrton Senna in his cradle is placed. Willem Holleeder is still a sweet little kleutertje that his mother's hugs, while Elvis Presley's 'It's now or never" from the transistor radio crackled. Then it was happiness still quite common.

Elvis had a Cadillac Fleetwood, and that was pure rock 'n roll on wheels. But if hip-hop a half a century before it was invented, Elvis was perhaps rapper. And a little bit of American rapper rides, of course, Cadillac. Therefore, drew Ruben Ooms specially for Elvis's 1960 Cadillac Escalade. That's Allright, or Return to Sender?
