Toyota introduces Supra 900 Club

Toyota stores today, the order books open for the all-new Supra. The first 900 pieces are to order.

Toyota set up a club where the first 900 Supra-customers automatically become a member of: the Supra 900 Club. The brand says that the first 900 copies of the new Supra, the first new generation in about 25 years, now an online reservation.

The first 900 Supra's according to Toyota available "in the biggest European markets for sports cars" That does not mean that the car isn't in our country is available, but that will then at a later time.

The production of the new Supra catches next year at Magna Steyr. This company is building will also soon be the new BMW Z4. The first European customers will get their car after the summer of next year delivered.

The new Supra comes out of a collaboration with BMW. The technical basis of the two matches, but the Z4 and Supra are from fairly early in the development process separated from each other and entirely by BMW and Toyota themselves have developed. The Supra, which uses technology from BMW, has a 3.0-litre six-in-line in the nose, which, according to Toyota more than 300 hp delivers. Shifting is by means of a ZF transmission with eight gears. The compartment must be in less than five minutes to a speed of 100 km/h sprint. It is in line with expectations that Toyota in the long term with an even more powerful version comes out. The Supra is in January in its final form presented at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
