The Q2, the Audi at the Geneva Auto Show shows, to close down the SUV gap. Now the Ingolstädter present a vehicle that is located at the other end of the scale: the SQ7. After the SQ5, there is now also a Q7 model as a sporty version. The highlight is the strong TDI with a technical novelty.
Electric compressor
Under the hood of the SQ7 works a completely newly developed 4.0-liter V8 TDI with 435 HP and 900 nm of torque. Two turbochargers are one by one like in the new Bugatti Chiron tab charging. Together with the new electrically powered compressors need no exhaust gas energy and work faster than conventional compressors, the Turbo lag can be eliminated almost completely. Air suspension and active roll stabilization
Audi uses an adaptive air suspension with sport tuning in the chassis. New grille
From the outside, you can see the SQ7 immediately on the large single-frame grille together with the newly designed grid. This is reflected also in the side air intakes. The V8 sound that can be adjusted according to the gusto of the on-board system by Soundaktuator sounds from the four angular exhaust tips. The headlights are as standard equipped with LED technology and bear an arrow-shaped light signature like the LED rear lights.
Plenty of space in the Interior
The SQ7 is optionally available with five or seven seats, with the second-row seats folded and the third row is always electrically extendable and always in three parts. For the front two seats, Audi makes the choice between sport seats and the sports seats + customers. Also optional: the "Audi virtual cockpit" and a head-up display. The charged MMI-Navi can be controlled over a large area of glass in the center console, which gives a haptic feedback using a special technique, if you submitted a finger print command. The Wi-Fi hotspot in conjunction with the tablets, which can be fastened on the headrests, provides good entertainment for the passengers.
89.900 euro
The Audi SQ7 is orderable as of the spring of 2016 and 89.900 euros in its basic version. Audi justifies the high price with extensive standard equipment, which would already include accessories to the value of around 10,000 euros. By comparison, the strongest Q7 without the E-Tron system starts at around 60,000 euros. (mf)
