Who Felix Baumgartner was not a term that had at least heard with his jump from 39,000 meters at a Balon, from Him. After more than 2,600 parachute jumps and the successful RellBull Stratos mission he has hung the parachute on the nail and is now devoted to " less " dangerous sports.
His next project is now the 24 hour race at the Nürburgring in an Audi R8 LMS Ultra. As an outsider it's ambitious enough to keep this GT3 race cars with good lap on the track, but Baumgartner bakes again no small Bröten.
3.750km and 11,000 curves
As with any 24 hour race, each driver is allowed to drive up to 3 hours at a time. So Felix Baumgartner support the team not only with his name, but also with its driving performance, there was a pre-detailed coaching at the Audi Race Experience Sepp Haider.
Together with Frank Biela, Marco Werne (both much time Le Mans winner ) and Pierre Kaffer he drives the 24 hours on the Nürburgring, through the Green Hell. As an amateur with no racing experience put Felix in 4 Running his first race a lap time of 8:42 on the north slip out. Because we take our hats.
