Vriezenveen ( Netherlands ), 23 September 2014
Vencer presents a new version of its supercar Sarthe. The production model of the model year 2015, an even more powerful engine and a modified design inside and out.
New compressor motor
The 2012 version of the Sarthe had presented a 510-hp V8 naturally aspirated engine. In the new model, a newly developed eight-cylinder is now used with compressor. Vencer has opted for charging, to increase the performance. So has the 6.3 - liter engine with 622 hp at 6,500 rev / min significantly more power than the old sucker. Also, the torque rises from 650 to 838 Newton meters, which rest at 4,000 rev / min. However, the compressor also enables a faster throttle response and high torque at low speeds ?? Starting from 1500 tours are available 650 Newton meters. For the transmission a six-speed circuit provides. On board are also a Torsen limited-slip differential and an optional hydraulic system to raise on both axles. To create an " analog feel" Vencer waives all driving assistance systems except ABS.
Better power to weight ratio than the Huracán
The architecture of the vehicle is based on a steel space frame with honeycomb structure. It sits a carbon body. The weight distribution achieved by the mid-engine with 45 to 55 almost ideal values . The V8 is also installed very low down, to lower the center of gravity. With a weight of 1,390 kilos unchanged resulting in a power to weight ratio of 2.2 kilograms per hp. For comparison, a Lamborghini Huracán comes to 2.3, a McLaren P1 has 1.6 kilos per horsepower, while the Koenigsegg Agera One: 1 cut with a smooth one. But even if the Sarthe not among the best of the power to weight ratio, the performance figures are impressive: For the standard sprint from rest to 100 he needs only 3.6 seconds, top speed was 338 km / h.
Now with spoiler and LED daytime running lights
The Vencer Sarthe takes its name from the Circuit de la Sarthe on which the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be held. The appearance is inspired by the Le Mans racers of the 80s. In the new version, the sharper cut headlights, vertically arranged LED daytime running lights and the modified front spoiler fall on. In addition, the new Sarthe has a rear spoiler extends automatically ?? in the old version of the long " tail comb "-Hinterteil was still naked. In addition, improve a new engine cover and larger Seitenlufteinlässe the ventilation of the more powerful engine.
Lightweight interior with special display
In the cockpit, the manufacturer has tried to focus on the essentials. To minimize distractions from the " driving task " as engineers call it, Vencer has developed a special display called CIS ( Central Information System), which represents all the important information at a glance. All interior parts are made of carbon fiber to save weight. A two-tone leather interior with Alcantara inserts is standard. The leather color can be chosen freely, as well as various other materials.
