Ingolstadt, February 13, 2015

These are the first official sketches of the Audi Avant Prologue, the ( 5 to 15 March 2015) is shown as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show. The concept is based on the Audi Prologue, the first in November 2014, on the Los Angeles Auto Show debuted itself and should specify the design direction for future A6, A7 and A8. It can therefore be assumed that the Prologue Avant has the same for the Ingolstadt Combined future in mind.

Improves performance significantly

The first sketches show an extremely flat, elongated and aggressive design, which is shaped more like a Sportback as a station wagon. Fall on a large hexagonal grille and huge air intakes at the front. At the rear we see in the skirt integrated exhaust pipes and a small roof spoiler. Audi's new chief designer Marc Lichte already said that " every element " of the Prologue designs will be used in future production vehicles. The first model with the new design will be the next Audi A8 who comes to the market in 2016. According to rumors, the Prologue on a new top model ?? possibly an A9 ?? out. The Prologue Avant could therefore be seen as a harbinger of A9 Avant that could compete with the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake.

Consumption is reduced by ten percent

We assume that the Prologue Avant will not differ in its dimensions considerably from the original concept car Prologue. This is 5.10 meters long and stands on 22-inch wheels. Wheel drive vehicle is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 with 605 horsepower and up to 750 Newton meters. In the Prologue Avant However, one must renounce V8 sound. The concept is powered by a V6 diesel hybrid with 400 hp. Inside are mainly the rear new award. Thus, the backbenchers can look forward to touch screens and O LED displays that it was only the front of the Prologue Coupé. (sw)
