It is a beautiful tradition: Since 2001, a designed by an artist car will be auctioned at Vienna's Life Ball every year. By 2013 Mini came here on a car sponsor, last year the ball literally at Audi Austria was issued. The cost was good: The styled by US artist David LaChapelle S1 Sportback changed hands for 110,000 euros stately. He is sidestepped barely on the record of 150,000 Euro, to 2013, refined by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli Mini scored.
For this year's ball fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier has designed an Audi A3 Sportback e-tron to his ideas again. The first official picture shows a flame design and the typical Gaultier blue and white stripes. In its full glory the car will be admired only on 16 May 2015 if the Life Ball in Vienna's Hofburg and rises in the town square.
Gaultier thus joins an armada sonorous name: The body designers of Life Ball cars were, in addition to the already mentioned the singer Kate Perry, the makers of the fashion label " Agent Provocateur " and " Diesel ", the photographer Mario Testino and fashion tsarinas Donatella Versace and Angela Missoni. Over the years are far gathered over half a million euros, which were used for AIDS projects worldwide. It will be fascinating how much money the flashy plug-in hybrid - Audi brings. Those who want to participate in the auction, can do that on the Internet at the Dorotheum auction house. A bargain can not be expected, however: The estimated value is given between 100,000 to 120,000 euros . ( hd )
