Update for the sporty Clio

The current Renault Clio r.s. has an uphill battle in the sporty subcompact fanbase. In contrast to its predecessor it renounced at Renault sport the classic suction motor, the manual transmission, the four-piston fixed caliper brake and the superb Recaro bucket seats. Followers thanks to sporty chassis and faster dual-clutch transmission could be appeased slightly with the introduction of the trophy model. Now the facelift is coming. Can the little Frenchman continue good soil?

New lighting design with LED

At the front which takes over r.s. the light signature of the recently introduced special model "R.S.. 16" with LED auxiliary headlights in the target flag design. The three modules of the luminaires perform different tasks: the upper module is used together with the outer fog lights and headlights. The lower acts together with the outer as high beam and the external module is intended as a position light. LED technology is even with the rear lights used, as also the daytime running lights in the shape of a "C" draw.

In the wheel arches, redesigned optional 18-inch wheels turn the facelift model. Which is also available separately from the "R.S.. 16" inspired exhaust system from the Slovenian specialist Akrapovic. The 200 HP strong Clio R.S.. with a 1.6-liter turbo engine is still configured with two trolleys: the standard sport chassis or the optional Cup chassis with lowered building and stiffer design. In the Clio R.S.. Trophy with a 220 HP from 1.6 liters also displacement always an even firmer suspension and damped suspension ensures the correct road contact. The pre-facelift model launched 22.990 euros, Renault will not give a price yet. (mf)
