Toyota brings the fifth generation of the RAV4 to Paris. The car we were already familiar with in North American trim, but is now also available for the European market are presented.
The RAV4 is just as practically all new Toyota's on the TNGA platform, a modular basis, which we know from cars like the C-HR, but also of the new Corolla and the Prius. The car is not only available with a hybrid powertrain.
The powertrain consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that is paired to an electric motor. The system power is 218 hp and the new RAV4 is more powerful than its 197 horsepower predecessor. It is the version with front wheel drive. Who four-wheel-drive wish, get a 222 hp RAV4 delivered. A sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds behind the back. Toyota also puts a petrol only drinking version on the price list, a version that a to a CVT transmission linked to 2.0 under the hood but also with a manual gearbox will be available.
