It's finally here: Porsche builds the motorsport offer and presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show ( November 20 to 29 2015) an entry-level car below the 911 GT3 Cup. The Renner is based on the Cayman GT4 and to enrich the 2016 race series of different continents.
Six-cylinder boxer in the middle
The centerpiece of the Sports Club sits directly behind the cockpit. The 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer produces 385 hp. The power is transmitted from an adapted Porsche double-clutch gearbox with steering wheel controls to the rear axle, where a mechanical limited slip differential for a fair distribution between the driven wheels makes.
Suspension from the GT3 Cup
Another highlight is the suspension. The front axle with lightweight struts comes completely out of the big brother 911 GT3 Cup. The wishbones on the rear axle donates the most successful one-make cup car in the world. Front working six-piston calipers and rear four-piston calipers on the brake discs with 380 mm diameter respectively. The ABS can be adjusted in twelve stages to get the perfect calibration in any weather condition. 18-inch forged alloy wheels all around are covered with Michelin slicks.
Full-fledged racing car
The weight of the car was pressed to 1,300 kilograms. This includes a welded safety cell and race seat of six point belts. By default, the GT4 Sports Club comes with the 90-liter tank series. Alternatively a 70-or 100-liter FT3 safety tank are available.
" Competitively priced " entry-level model
Priced the GT4 Sports Club at around 132,000 euros 80,000 euros below the big brother 911 GT3 Cup.
