BMW M2 Competition

The new Competition Version of the BMW M2 is noticeably sharper than the normal version of the compact coupe. The heart of the new twin-turbo six-cylinder, based on the aggregate of the M3 and M4. Instead of 370 HP as the normal M2 410 HP between 5,250 and 7,000 rpm and Potter here. Between 2.350 and 5,200 rpm with maximum torque of 550 Newton metres is available.

The high-revving engine combines a for turbo engines, unique shooting will with a linear power delivery and a high torque over a wide speed range, BMW. The standard fuel consumption increases compared to the M2 from 8.5 to 9.9 litres per 100 kilometres, with the dual-clutch transmission from 7.9 to 9.2 litres – approximately one and a half litre of more. After all, the fine dust emissions are reduced by a gasoline particulate filter (OPF).

Sophisticated Oil supply and cooling

Directly from motor sport to the sophisticated supply of Oil to the engine and the cooling system, which have been taken from the M4 with the Competition package and adjusted. Oil supply and cooling are designed in the M2 Competition track suitable. Due to an enlarged kidney and a new front apron with enlarged air throughput, the improved cooling system is already visible from the outside. The kidney is painted as standard in gloss Black. The same is true for the gills on the front fenders, as well as the newly designed four tailpipes. The rear is adorned with a dark "M Competition Badge". Aerodynamically optimised exterior mirrors in the "double-foot design" are more characteristic design elements.

Settings direct-dial buttons

Also the driving dynamics have adapted to the engineers. The CFRP strut in the engine compartment comes from the BMW M3 and M4. It gives the front car more stiffness for a greater steering precision. Newly, the characteristic curves of the electro-mechanical power steering, the Active M differential, and the ESP were also coordinated. The driver can access it for the first time in the M2, two direct-dial buttons in the center console, directly to the various characteristic curves and setting options of the engine, the steering, and when equipped with the M DCT the drive logic. The different configurations can be freely and entirely according to personal preferences combined with each other, and on the buttons M1 and M2 on the steering Wheel, can be saved. Standard adaptive LED headlights as well as Parking beepers include, in addition to the now red start button for the front.

Special seats and brakes as Extras

As Extras leather sports seats with integrated headrests and illuminated M2 Logo offered. Also optionally available sport brakes with larger discs (front, 400 mm, rear 380 mm), and grey calipers (front Six-piston fixed-caliper, Four-piston fixed caliper). In addition, there are optional 19-inch forged wheels (front 9J x 19 rear 10J x 19) in new Y-spoke Design. New and exclusive for the BMW M2 Competition is available in the color Hockenheim, metallic silver. The price for the M2 Competition has not yet been notified.(sl)
