The Lamborghini Islero was presented in 1968 at the Motor Show in Geneva and was the successor of the Lamborghini 400 GT. It takes its name from 1968-1970 Islero built by a bull that killed the famed matador Manuel Rodriguez in 1947. This nomenclature is tradition at Lamborghini today ! The Lamborghini was driven Islero guaranteed by a newly developed 4.0-liter V12 engine of 350 hp and was coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission. Therefore, the sports car reached a top speed which was about 250 km / hr. From 1969 there was also a Lamborghini Islero S with the power raised to 350 PS engine (about 260 km / h).
