Toyota and Softbank join forces

Toyota and the Japanese investment fund Softbank have signatures under a document that the advent of a together to establish joint-venture. The two companies throw themselves on the development of services for 'new mobility'.

The partnership that this fiscal year should be operational, bears the name Monet, an acronym that stands for Mobility Justwork. Monet's purpose is to "[...] a safer mobiliteitsomgeving" to develop.

The together to develop the mobility network will consist of Toyota's infrastructure for 'connected cars' and SoftBank's Internet of Things platform. It all sounds really vague, but Monet seems to be so many digital services of the two companies to each other to wrap the pair in the area of new mobility, think of deelauto and the aforementioned connected-cars, with the best possible services. Monet wants this year to have several autodeeldiensten for companies in the home country on legs.
