The dark side of Bentley

Crewe (United Kingdom), 31. July 2017

What do you do as a car manufacturer, if it has no new model in the Pipeline, and also the next Facelift still leaves something to wait for? Properly, it is a special model. So now the Bentley Flying spur V8 S arrives now as the "Black Edition".

The Special Model?

So the Black Edition is different from a normal Flying spur, there are now shiny black moldings, black window surrounds and door mirrors and dark-tinted headlights and taillights, as well as a new Design for the 21-inch rims. For the interior a new color combination. The three-spoke Sport Plus-steering-Wheel and piano-lacquer veneer are in the special model series. And if you order your special-Flying-spur with Mulliner, the surface of the Leather on the Seats and door panels with diamond quilting in contrasting color.

The Drive?

On the powertrain, Bentley doesn't change anything. Reminder: The Flying spur V8 S is powered by a 4.0-Liter V8 engine with 528 HP and 680 Newton meters of torque. On the road the power is transmitted via a four-wheel drive. 0-100 km/h? 4.9 seconds. Topspeed? 306 km/h. And the consumption is likely to be the most Bentley buyers, no matter, is 10.9 litres per 100 kilometres.

The Price?

What it wants to the request of the British manufacturer in the future for the Flying spur V8 S Black Edition, is not yet known. You expect but with a base price around 190.000 Euro. Of course, no extra wishes and without special treatment of Mulliner.(ml)
