Lush surprise

Stuttgart, 11 August 2016

You remember the Maybach Exelero? In 2005 the 5.89 metres long and weighing 2.7 tons Coupé attracted attention. 700 BHP pushed the Wuchtbrumme on over 350 km/h now seems to continue the history of this unique Mercedes and shows a still nameless Mercedes Maybach show car at the Oldtimer Festival in Pebble Beach (United States).

In the mist of pixels

So far it remains still silent, announced only the set is that the study is "a very clear and unexpected views on a possible automobile future of brand". The corresponding first picture is hardly less diffuse, but shows a very large Coupé. Presumably, the two-door Mercedes Maybach accesses the current Maybach S 600: he is 5.45 metres long and has a wheelbase of 3.36 m. Under the long hood, a V12 with 530 HP would then work.

Engine from AMG?

But also, it is not excluded that the well 2.3 tonnes from the engine of the Mercedes-AMG S 65 are powered. Its 630 HP would be even a better ammunition against the likely main opponent: the 5.27-metre Rolls Royce Wraith 632 horsepower and 281.000 euros. We know more during the night of 19 August, then the luxury Coupé will be unveiled by Maybach. (rh)
